Teacher:  DaLeesa J. Wyatt, M.M.

Ms. Wyatt is an accomplished musician with an expansive skill set that includes chamber work, musical directing, piano instruction, researcher, and classroom lecturing.  She completed a Bachelor of Music in piano performance from Oklahoma Baptist University and a Master of Music from the University of North Texas in musicology, specializing in early American hymnody.

Ms. Wyatt is a dynamic chamber and recital musician performing with other professional instrumentalists and vocalists in the area.  As an active researcher in the practice of church music, Ms. Wyatt promotes the historical context of church music as well as performance practices.  Within university education settings, Ms. Wyatt taught music history and theory.

Ms. Wyatt has been teaching privately for over 25 years.  As a private teacher, Ms. Wyatt's piano studio serves 30+ students (both children and adults).  If you want to check out some of the hilarity that happens during lessons, check out the What Would Erma Do? page. :)

Ms. Wyatt actively serves in her church, playing piano for services and teaching adult Sunday School.  She also enjoys training and showing her dogs Odin, Diesel, and Daisy, when she isn’t planning adventures with her husband, Jonathon.

Piano Studio Policies/Lessons

  • Lessons are scheduled weekly from Monday through Thursday.

  • Lessons begin on the hour and half hour.

  • Payment is made at the beginning of each month.

  • Any materials are purchased by me and then paid for in the following month's fees. This is so you don't have to worry about accidently buying the wrong books.

  • Generally, missed lessons are credited into the following month's fees.  However, if lesson times are consistently missed, you will be asked to pay for that time.  Times are set aside specifically for the individual student and cannot be filled at a minute's notice.

  • Recitals

    • The studio sponsors two to three recitals per year:  Halloween/Fall, Christmas, and the June Awards recital.
